as a part of our anniversary extravaganza weekend, our little family of 3 went hiking in highlands, north carolina last saturday. it was a beautiful day and a sweet sweet time together. we had you ride on daddy's shoulders most of the way up and down the mountain due to rocky terrain and mud puddles here and there, but you would ask every 30 seconds to get down and walk. what a happy camper you were when we finally let you down! you were quite a trooper-scooting your little bottom up the trails and slowly and cautiously checking out the big rocks at the top of the mountain. it was a beautiful view once we got up there! here are some pictures=)

I know you don't know me, but I have been following your blog since you were pregnant with sweet Catherine. My family and I have prayed for you and your family. I wanted to ask a favor. I teach
2nd grade here in Texas and my class is learning how to write letters and read maps. We are doing a Flat Stanley project to help us with both of these topics. We are writing letters to people all over the world in hopes that they will write us back to tell us where Flat Stanley has visited. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind letting us write you and your family a letter and allow Flat Stanley to visit your town. If not, I completely understand. My email address is britni.johnson@wylieisd.net. I teach at Wally Watkins Elementary in Wylie, TX. Thank you in advance for your help. Britni
